First Lady, Aisha Buhari Heads To Brussels, Belgium To Attend A Forum On 'Women's Role In Global Security' |PoliFocus

The Nigerian first lady, Ms Aisha Buhari is her way to Brussels, to attend a forum with theme 'Women's Role In Global Security.


This is coming up in the wake of the controversy trailing her explosive interview with the BBC hausa. Where she softly condemned some of her husband’s leadership styles.

But his husband, President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the duty of his wife is to take of him. In his words, "I don't know the party that my wife belongs, but I know that she is my wife, she is to take care of my living room, kitchen and the other room.

Is this not a fallacious statement? Because if truly her work is restricted to the home, she should stay put than raising her head in the committee of world women.
