Barcelona To Sign Lionel Messi’s Son, Thiago At Age 4 |PoliFocus

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi’s son, Thiago, is being prepped to become one of the first children to join Barcelona’s trial school for children under the age of six.

The Spanish football club already run their school called FCBEscola – which is open to children from the age of six to enter and learn footballing skills and rudiments of football from Barca’s coaches.

Now, FCBEscola is extending their tentaclesby setting up a pilot scheme for children between the ages of three and five, and according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, Thiago Messi, who will be four in November, will join the programme.

The trial scheme will be open to the children of players from Barca’s first team.

Earlier this week, Messi was asked about his son’s interest in football, but the Barcelona ace admits Thiago doesn’t seem too keen.

‘I don’t buy him many balls or force him to
play with them because he doesn’t like them that much,’ Messi told Telefe.‘

There may be hope yet, with Messi saying Barca is working on a project for the players’ children to play with footballs.

‘Let’s see if he gets hooked that way — it would be a good start.’
