It is no longer news that President Muhammadu Buhari is presently struggling with the issue of economy.
But this cannot but be connected to the alleged nepotism and favouritism in the selection of the cabinet members.
Putting round pegs on round hole is encouraged but if the reverse is the case, the concomitant effects might be catastrophic, like what we are experiencing now.
Check out some of the cabinet members of the present Buhari-led administration and their Portfolios:
The Minister of Agriculture studied French
The Minister of Education studied Accounting
The Minister of Solid Minerals studied International relations
The Minister of Power, Housing and Works studied Law
The Minister of Communications studied Law
The Minister of Transport studied English.
Minister of Labour and Employment studied Surgery
Minister of Budget and national planning studied law
Minister of Foreign Affairs studied Medicine
Minister of Petroleum studied Law
IGP studied Agriculture
