Ondo APC Primary Election: Olusegun Abraham Concedes, Calls For Support For Rotimi Akeredolu |PoliFocus

The first runner-up in the Saturday governorship primaries of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Dr. Olusegun Abraham has congratulated the winner of the exercise, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN for his victory at the poll.In the primary election which was conducted under the supervision of the Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru.


Akeredolu floored 24 other candidates, including Dr. Segun Abraham, who was allegedly endorsed by the National leader of the party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pick the keenly contested ticket.

Reacting to the result of the primaries, Abraham who spoke in Akure, promised to work for the victory of the party at the November 26 governorship polls in the state. He appreciated the party for the opportunity giving to him to aspired and promised to contribute his quota to the development of the party in particular and the state in general.“

You are aware that our primary election was held yesterday and we all heard the result, so I want to congratulate my colleague Rotimi Akeredolu who emerged with 669 votes .

“As a lawyer and dedicated party man , I will continue to be loyal to my party and work for the progress of my party, APC. I want to tell the people of Ondo state that you are my people, i amone of you and your son.

I want to tell you that I will not turn my back to the good of the state, I will continue to put the interest of the people as one of my priority and in whatever capacity that God allows me to assist this state, I will do , especially in the area of industrialisation , poverty reduction and wealth creation.

“I want to specially thank and appreciate the Chairman of the election committee , Alhaji Badaru Abubakar , the governor of Jigawa state and his team for the exemplary display of transparency and dedication to this our great nation, thank you for the job well done and am proud of you.

“I thank my teaming supporters for their love, dedication and loyalty throughout the campaign period . I want to tell you that by God’s grace your efforts will not go in vain.

I want to thank my party APC, the most respected party now in west Africa , the party that can be trusted all overthe world and the dynamic leadership of President Buhari in sanitising this nation and to reduce or remove corruption if possible so that the country can move forward again . “
