Momoh Jimoh Resigns As Kogi State Speaker |PoliFocus

Momoh Jimoh, speaker of the Kogi state house of assembly, has resigned.Jimoh’s resignation was announced on the floorof the house on Tuesday, according to reports by TheCable.


Ali Akuh, deputy speaker, who read Jimoh’s letter of resignation, said the speaker’s decisionis in the best interest of the state.

Umar Ahmed Imam replaced Jimoh as the new speaker of the assembly.

With this development, calm is expected to return to the house.
