Ondo 2016: Barr. Rotimi Akeredolu Picks Up Nomination Form |PoliFocus

Towards the build-up to Ondo State gubernatorial election, one of the leading aspirants and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last gubernatorial election in the state, Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) earlier today picked up his nomination form at the party secretariat in FCT.

Akeredolu who lost to the incumbent governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko is on the race again.  Around 40 aspirants are jostling for the party’s ticket.

According to the the party primary election's time-table and schedule of activities, sale of forms will commence at the APC National Secretariat from Tuesday, July 19 and last till Friday, Aug. 5.

The sale of forms at N5 million while intending aspirants are expected to pay N500, 000 to pick expression of interest forms.

It, however, said that the forms would be free of charge for female aspirants.

''Last day for submission of completed forms is Monday, Aug. 8 at the APC National Secretariat and the screening of aspirants will be conducted in Abuja from Aug. 9 to 12.

''The primary election will hold on Saturday, Aug. 27, while the election appeal will hold from Monday, Aug. 29 to Thursday, Sept. 1.'
