Woman Caught While Trying To Smuggle Gold At Jeddah Airport In Saudi Arabia (Photo) |PoliFocus

A woman was caught trying to smuggle 4.25 kilograms of gold into the kingdom through the King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Abdullah Filaa, KAIA customs chief, said the gold pieces were stuffed in special pockets of a smuggler’s dress worn by the woman, concealed by her abaya.

Customs officers, however, noticed the hidden items when the woman passed through a metal detector.

The woman apparently tried to conceal the gold to avoid paying duties, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the customs official as saying.
